You don’t need any particular religion to make full use of pendulum crystals. You don’t even have to have a specific faith for that. The use of crystals and pendulums is for everyone – its use is universal and is as ageless as the Earth itself.

So, if you have ever felt that you shouldn’t be dabbling in energy healing and crystals in general, remember that before the faiths emerged, there was the Source, and the Source animated everything before humanity.

Today would be the best time for pendulum dowsing to find out more about yourself and begin healing parts of yourself that conventional medicine can never understand.

Pendulum Dowsing

pendulum dowsing

Pendulum dowsing is the general term used to describe the many ways that you can use pendulums for energy work, intuition studies, etc. As you may have already studied from other places, crystal pendulums have many uses. Anyone can maximize their engagement with the spiritual world by using tools like the crystal pendulum.

The most popular uses of pendulum dowsing include:

  1. Identifying the potential causes of disease, including allergies and chronic pain. The crystal pendulum can help point the person in the right direction.

While it cannot say outright what may be causing the problem, you can use it to arrive at the correct answer. By knowing more about yourself, you can use a crystal pendulum to delve even more profound.

  1. Crystal pendulums come in many types, and certain crystals can be used for clearing work.

Clearing work is transmutation, where negative energies are absorbed by specific crystals and transformed into high-frequency energy that is so powerful it can beat any evil intention: love.

Many people are unaware that when you transmute negative energy, the result is loved. It’s not just positive energy – it is the highest form of power in the Universe.

  1. Use pendulum dowsing if you need to locate a lost pet, person, or object. A pendulum can help reduce the number of options and lead you closer to finding what was lost through a series of questions.

This is the most common use of crystal pendulums, and they can be very accurate as long as you are attuned to the pendulum. Keep in mind that crystal pendulums will not be automatically tuned when you lay your fingers on one.

Crystals need time to attune to their owners and their owners’ energies. Like people, crystals have to understand the various energies that animate the lives of their owners. Our recommendation is to use your crystal pendulum as frequently as possible, so it bonds with you as soon as possible.

  1. Pendulums can also be used like water rods. It simply works, and no one can tell why it does work. Either way, it can be a life-saving tool if you are out in the wilderness and need to locate clean drinking water. Keep a crystal pendulum about you in case of emergencies, as it can be a matter of life and death in some cases.

The answers that come from pendulums do not come from the movement alone. They come from the higher forces of the spiritual world, trying to communicate nonverbally with the physical realm.

How to Cleanse Your Pendulum?

Like other crystal items, crystal pendulums must be periodically cleaned to maintain their power and usefulness in energy healing. We must always think of these items as tools, and like other tools, they have to be held to continue serving your needs.

This is great piece of advice for all your divination and energy healing tools with unique materials, including jet-black and organic gemstones.

Cleansing crystals is essential for your energy work if you are serious about advancing your skills, too.

Anything used for manipsychic energies and the spiritual world will eventually absorb negative energies and potentially problematic energies from the environment and other people, so it is in your best interest to cleanse your tools as frequently as possible.

Fortunately, it is not complicated to cleanse crystals, and the more you practice cleansing sacred gemstones and other crystals in your collection, the easier it would be for you on the whole.

  1. Written Intention

If you happened to have citrine in your collection, place the citrine beside your pendulum and write down your intention to cleanse the pendulum on a piece of paper. Leave these items on a table, free of any disruptions, and allow the radiant energy of citrine to work on the negative energies found in the pendulum. Just make sure that you recharge your citrine, too!

  1. Smudging

This is the classic method of clearing gemstones. You will need a ceremonial sage for smudging. Light the tip of the bundle of ceremonial sage and allow the white smoke to emanate from the wood. Place the pendulum and other gemstones that need to be cleansed in a bowl (preferably a ceremonial clearing bowl) and pass the smoke of the ceremonial sage over the bowl four times.

Do so in a circular manner, so the smoke circles the gemstones, too. Ceremonial sage can also be used for clearing a place of negativity and entities, so it would be a good idea to have a stockpile of ceremonial sage so you can always perform clearing whenever you have to.

  1. Brown Rice

This is one of the little-known techniques for clearing crystals. Fill a small container of round-grained brown rice and cover the pendulum with the rice. If you have more crystals that need cleansing, you can cleanse them all at once, as long as you can protect their surfaces with brown rice. Leave all the crystals inside the brown rice pack for a total of 24 hours. Bin the rice afterward, do not eat it anymore as it has already absorbed negative energies.

What Is Reiki Healing and How to use Pendulum to Make Decision? Tue, 15 Jun 2021 16:00:08 +0000 Like chakra healing, the reiki method is considered one of the contemporary healing techniques in the world. This form of healing is cultivated from the Japanese energy techniques as a form of complementary-alternative approach in healing and meditation. Reiki therapy does not unswervingly cure illness—instead, it is used to manage or reduce symptoms of diseases to improve one’s general well-being.

A Reiki healing stone can be transformed into reiki jewelry. Reiki can be done in any space available, but you need to know how to use a pendulum. This meditation process also uses non-invasive touch with the help of a reiki pendulum chart. As the microcurrents from your body start to sways the pendulum, it allows the person to display subconscious thoughts, feelings, and opinions.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is translated as a “miraculous sign of a mysterious atmosphere.” This term is derived from the Japanese words “rei” and “ki” (universal, life energy.) Reiki therapy is also a form of energy healing that targets the energy fields around our body. Practitioners believe that blocked energies where physical injury or physical pain occurs can stagnate and cause illness over a more extended period.

Reiki therapy has been around the meditation tactic for thousands of years. That is why the reiki healing stone is used to emulate acupressure techniques to your body. After reiki jewelry is pressed into certain parts of the body, it drastically improves energy flow. A decompressed body can reduce pain, speed healing, enable relaxation, and reduce symptoms of illness.

During the reiki session, the patient must be held in a peaceful setting—sitting on a comfortable chair or lying on a bed. The practitioner will later place their hands on specific areas on the head, neck, back, torso, and legs to identify the patient’s injured area. The patient might indicate particular areas as well to improve the practitioner’s accuracy.

As soon as the places are well located, the practitioner might use a reiki healing stone to improve the positive frequencies. Reiki jewelry can produce hands that are warm and tingling through the sense. These hands are later on placed on the affected area, whereas the energy has stopped flowing. After the heat from the hands dissipated, the practitioner will repeat the process until the affected area lighten.

Jewelry made with natural stones and crystals has innate energies that can replenish lost energies or remove stagnated energies without blocking during a physical or emotional turmoil. Some techniques on how to use a pendulum are included on a reiki pendulum chart. It has movements such as beaming, centering, clearing, extraction, infusing, and smoothing.

Health Benefits of Reiki Therapy

The effects of reiki therapy are subjective—it varies from one person to another. Other patients might not feel the practitioner’s hands, or it can be as cold for some. Some might feel pulsations around the hands, and it is cascaded throughout the body. This is why several reiki practitioners use natural stones and crystals to regulate heat and pulsating waves throughout the patient’s body.

Reiki is not for everyone, but it can provide fantastic comfort and relaxation during the initial sessions. To fulfill the overall effect of reiki therapy, the patient itself must be deeply indrawn during the therapeutic process. Proper conversation and approval will give access to the reiki practitioner to dwell on the patient’s subconscious.

As soon as the patient has already tapped on his state of consciousness, it will push through as an immediate release of stress in any means possible. It can be a dramatic process, a confessional one, but the overall process gives a deep relaxation for the patient.

Listed below are some of the helpful effects after a reiki therapy:

  • Reiki produces positive energies that permeate the body. It also aids relaxation, natural healing process.
  • It develops emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. After the reiki therapy process, it can alleviate people’s cope with difficulties. It can also improve emotional stress.
  • It helps to improve conditions related to cancer, heart disease, infertility, autism, Crohn’s disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. It can also release symptoms related to anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and fatigue syndromes.

If incorporated with reiki jewelry in the form of the pendulum, it will access the human’s subconscious. The subconscious world provides a better knowledge of oneself by creating a map of knowing one’s emotions, goals, dreams, problems, and understanding.

How to Use Pendulum for Making Decisions?

how to use pendulum

Reiki healing can be combined with other forms of energy healing, such as the crystal pendulum. The crystal pendulum can be used for unblocking chakras and blocking chakra energies. According to several meditation practitioners, the best way to improve the tracking of your powers is through the use of a pendulum.

The pendulum acts as an energy amplifier for the energy to flow smoothly throughout the body. Identifying the pendulum functions in meditation and healing will give you great information in determining your chakra for your decision-making process. The pendulum also acts as a divination tool to help the practitioner detect energy blockage on the patient’s body.

You can use your pendulum on the following methods: grounding, aura cleansing, chakra balancing, and clearing of energy block. Locate any energy block faster with pendulum help by relying on the natural frequencies inside the pendulum’s crystal. This divination tool moves towards the invisible energy around us, and it can detect anomalies in our chakra blockage.

Listed below are some of the methods practitioners use to detect issues to the 7 chakras of our body:

  • Holding the divination tool on the seven body parts corresponding to the seven chakras. The seven parts are as follows: (1) base of the spine, (2) belly button, (3) naval region below the rib cage, (4) center of the chest, (5) near the esophagus, (6) in between eyebrows, and (7) the top of the head.
  • Using the reiki pendulum chart to identify the flow of energy. Also known as the Chakra Pendulum Chart, this printable chart provides insights on locating the energy issues of the seven chakras. This chart is placed on a flat surface, and the pendulum is directed to the delegated spot.
    • Questions are then followed to identify the specific energy locations that need prior attention. Particular questions are required for the pendulum to assist in the answering process.

What Is SRT And How to Choose the Right Pendulum to Connect with Your High Self?

The Best Way to Use a Pendulum

]]> 0
What Is SRT And How to Choose the Right Pendulum to Connect with Your High Self? Tue, 08 Jun 2021 16:00:01 +0000 What is Spiritual Response Therapy?

Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT) is a cognate discipline that allows individuals to quickly track down and work on hidden or secret blocks that entirely prevent people from living life. These hidden blocks are accessed through the mind and spirit, but their effects, if left unresolved, will affect the person beyond the spiritual realm.

SRT helps resolve and release discordant or chaotic energies, limit ideas, and leave more positive beliefs and opinions in their wake. If you feel that many memories and emotions hold you back from living your most entire life, then SRT will give you fuller access to the vital Akashic records.

Spiritual response therapy is carried out by a spiritual therapist/expert who can use an SRT pendulum chart to understand how your psyche works and how the clearing can occur. SRT utilizes a series of questions, charts, and a unique pendulum to explore and clear the person’s mental, emotional, and spiritual programming.

All of these are done while connecting the person to the Higher Self. The Higher Self represents a person’s inner voice or inner guidance.

That small spark, that tiny voice that seems to know much more of the universe than we do, is a portion of the spiritual self and has access to all the different selves we have, including the subconscious and spiritual minds.

One of the primary goals of SRT is tracking down negative imprints, self-limiting beliefs, emotional or mental scars, negative perceptions, and wrong beliefs that you have accumulated all these years.

What is Spiritual Response Therapy SRT

What Does Clearing Entail?

When you read about the Akashic records or Spiritual Response Therapy (SRT), you will often encounter the term ‘clearing.’ This concept is also extensively used in the context of crystal healing or energy healing. So, what does it entail, exactly?

  • Clearing means your negative thoughts and subconscious energies will finally be liberated. Humans can take on an incredible amount of negativity, and through the years, these negativities will do everything but help you.

Sometimes people have so much negativity that they can’t function normally anymore, and the person’s condition begins to affect people around them.

These discordant energies have to be eliminated or released somehow. Unfortunately, people tend to hold on to the wrong type of energy. Simply thinking negatively can draw more negative energy to oneself. Simply put, we are what we think and feel.

  • Clearing can also refer to the removal of internal obstacles. People often complain that they feel stuck, and no matter how much they work, they can’t seem to move forward or remove themselves from the pit of despair they are in. Often, the correct answers are not always apparent.

A person’s logical thinking is insufficient to deal with something that evades common perception and logic. Part of the accurate clearing process is reconnecting the spiritual mind with the Higher Self.

The Higher Self is connected to The One, or The Source. Every person has an equal chance to benefit from the Akashic records and the Fountainhead of all divine energies, but one must use the correct points.

  • The clearing is also a method of changing your spiritual and mental landscapes. The internal landscape you wake up to every morning may not be the best one for your growth as an individual. Therefore, you have to clear the negativity of the landscape so you can breathe and live more efficiently. You must remove restlessness, anxiety, anger, and depression from this internal landscape.

Choosing the Right Pendulum for SRT

While there are no complex rules for the pendulum used for SRT, pendulums have specific energies and properties.

  • Emerald Pendulum – Mainly used as a ward against evil and negative spiritual energies. The emerald pendulum also forms a protective barrier against any overt or hidden enemies. Emeralds are also beneficial for the health and family sectors of the home when you are setting up feng shui.
  • Garnet Pendulum – Garnet pendulums come in a vast array of colors, from browns to pinks. The garnet is highly revered in Ancient Egypt and is known for being very helpful in enhancing romance and balancing discordant energies. If you wish to use your garnet pendulum for feng shui, be sure to place it in the marriage sector.
  • Hematite Pendulum – On top of having an excellent silver and gleaming appearance, hematite was also used extensively in Egyptian tombs. Use a hematite pendulum specifically to ground and enhance rootedness and balance the yin and yang energies at home. It can be placed in any sector of the house.
  • Sodalite Pendulum – Sodalite pendulums are often royal blue. Please take note that many sodalite gems are sensitive to exposure to direct UV rays, so keep them in a pouch when you go out. UV exposure can reduce the color of your sodalite pendulum. Though it may fade aesthetically in time, a sodalite pendulum will continue to be useful for energy healing and SRT for years to come. Sodalite will benefit the following sectors: helpful people, marriage, and knowledge.
  • Agate Pendulum – The agate pendulum also comes with a wide variety of colors and is historically used as a talisman to draw in all forms of power. It can also be used to relieve stress and improve a person’s outlook in life. Due to its properties, the agate can be placed in any home area where you meditate to find inner peace and relaxation.
  • Topaz Pendulum – The topaz pendulum often comes as a smoky gemstone that focuses on providing healing powers to your finances and emotions. This talisman and pendulum can be placed where positive and negative forces collide for additional gridding and balancing.

How to Straighten a Wire for Jewelry Making Beginners? Mon, 07 Jun 2021 00:49:32 +0000 Jewelry wires are variants of wire made of metals with different elasticities used in making necklaces, pendants, bracelets, brooch, among others. The choice of wire depends on the actual preferences of the jewelry makers—although soft metals are suggested for beginners. More delicate wires will provide flexibility and easier access to straighten your wire. Straightening your jewelry wire would require specialized materials like nylon-jawed wire straightener and should be included in your toolbox.

Wires are arranged according to their gauge, with the thicker wire ranging on 6-14 gauge and thinner wire running on 15-32 gauge.

20-gauge wires are recommended for jewelry-making beginners. It provides enough weight to create designs for bangle and cuff-type bracelets. This multipurpose wire is also durable enough to hold the weight of common materials like beads, stones and crystals. It can also be sturdy enough to hold its shape, making it durable for handmade chains, jump rings, eye pins, and lightweight clasps.

How to Straighten a Wire?

Before you find out how to straighten wire, you need to identify your material’s hardness, shapes, and sizes. Identifying the material used for your crafting will provide insider access for you to measure the capacities of your wire, reducing the chance of overworking your wire. Overstretching your wire will bend your material, breaking your hard-earned creation.

Wire hardness

Wire hardness depends on the material you are using. As of this writing, there are three known variants of wire, namely: dead soft, half-hard, and full-hard.

  • Dead soft wires are delicate materials and can be bent using your hands. This wire type is also easy to straighten, but extra caution and precision are required to prevent excess tension to your wire. This material is used to create intricate designs and wire-sculpted jewelry.
  • Half-hard wires are slightly more rigid than the dead soft variants since they required a draw plate to pull through. Draw plate is a jewelry tool made with metal or polyester with variants of holes used to bend wires with lesser strain on the hand. This tool can only work on half-hard wires.
  • Full-hard wires are more inflexible, durable materials that require more strength to work with. Draw plate can still be used, although it needs to be passed several more times to work.

Wire shapes

Although wires are commonly cylindrical, there are also existing distinctive wire shapes. This adds to the overall aesthetic value of the jewelry. Other figures include square, half-round, and rectangular wires. Despite its uncanny figures, this material can still fit through standard wire gaps easily.

  • Wire-wrapped style jewelry suggests using a lot of square and half-round wire variants. This shape provides the volume and structure needed for several wires.

Wire sizes

In the United States, AWG (American Wire Gauge) is the standard measurement use to arrange the wire sizes. European countries measure their wire gauge in the form of millimeters. This cannot be very clear since AWG responds inversely proportional to the actual size. The thicker the wire in millimeters, the smaller AWG gauge it corresponds.

  • 26 gauge and 24 gauge wires measure 0.4 to 0.5 millimeters in thickness. This wire is suitable for beads with small holes. Using a half-hard hardness, you can use this material to make chain jewelry like bead and wire chains.
  • 22 gauge and 21 gauge wires measure 0.65 to 0.71 millimeters in thickness. This material is the standard size since it can fit on most beads, stones, and crystals. You can also create intricate designs like ear wires, headpins, and other decorative intricates.
  • 20 gauge wires measure 0.8 millimeters in thickness. This is enough to create durable clasps. Using dead-soft hardness provides the optimal hardness to work this wire efficiently.

How to Straighten Wire from Roll?

As mentioned earlier, straightening wire will require a nylon-jawed wire straightener. This material looks like pliers but with flat nylon, jaws placed on both sides. This material is essential to remove the wire’s curvature from its long curling from the spool. Periodically, these nylon jaws must be replaced as soon as the cables began to provide small notches. Notches will limit on how to straighten wire from roll, making it harder to work with.

Straightening your wires will save you a lot of cost on raw materials. Wires should go straight enough for the beads and other materials to work cohesively to your design. Spending sufficient knowledge of working your wire will prevent you from throwing bent wire scraps—which can accumulate in the long run. The half-feet worth of jewelry wire is enough to create a simple brooch or pendant.

  • While working on your beaded wire project, you might notice that your bead will start to tangle on its own, making it hard to work it. Do not panic about this. Tangling wires are standard and will occur while you are doing your wire project. Use your fingers to straightening workable bumps.
  • If your fingers cannot tend more delicate wire bumps, grasp your wire using your non-dominant hand. Insert your nylon-jawed pliers few inches from the wire where you’ve placed your fingers. Grasp the wire firmly.
  • Slowly, allow the nylon-jawed pliers to glide into the wire. Hold unto it firmly, pressing it enough to move across the wire. For dead-soft hardness, one glide is enough to straighten it. Other wires require multiple repetitions for them to work.
  • Grip the wires tightly as you make your way on straightening your wires. Watch how the wire straightened itself out as you’re doing it.
  • After finishing the already straight wire section, you may move back to the area that requires more straightening. Repeat the process until you’ve worked unto the entire length of wire.
  • This method will also work on wire remains, reducing the scraps for your jewelry project. A half-foot-long chunk is enough to create an essential brooch, pendant, and décor—reducing the waste materials.

How to Balance your Chakras? Wed, 02 Jun 2021 16:00:10 +0000 In the field of understanding one’s energy, identifying how to balance chakras is essential. Chakra can vary from one form to another. The core knowledge of this meditation resides in identifying different energy centers of your entire body. Unknowingly, everyone possesses a fountain of energy connected from the top of our head down to our spine. This energy channel allows us to undergo a chakra balance. All of our bodily systems influence one another to make us stable in all forms.

Chakra balance is also a meditation technique in keeping our chakra cores open—maintaining their alignment. An aligned chakra is vital to prevent blocking or remove one’s synchronization, which can negatively impact physical and psychological health.

What is Chakra Balance?

As mentioned earlier, chakra serves as a “wheel” wherein the distinct energy centers of the body regulate the connection of ourselves into the supernatural. While different cultures embrace different chakra cores, the considered ‘universal’ count is the seven chakras—located from the head down to the spinal column.

The seven main chakras are as follows: root chakra, sacral chakra, solar plexus chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, third eye chakra, and crown chakra. To know more about each chakra, click here.

Chakras are gateways that can help you pick up the energies responsible for manifestation or meditation. Each primary chakra corresponds to a specific nerve bundle and body organ to help you attain fulfillment, contentment, and happiness. Aside from that, chakras also serve as both receptors and transmitters—which means they will emit the same amount of energy that will match the frequency available.

High-frequency energies attract good energies like people, job opportunities, abundance, and health. Allowing these energies to flow throughout your body will produce chakra balance, a defining moment wherein all the chakra doors are accessible. If you have a fully-developed chakra, you should make sure that it is perfectly balanced as long as possible. The prolonged blockage will produce complications in our bodies that will affect our overall well-being.

For instance, if your solar plexus chakra is clogged and blocked, it may cause complications like indigestion, stomach cramps, and flu. You may have throat infection and communication problems if your throat chakra is left unbalanced. Suppose there’s anything that takes away energies to live a desirable life. In that case, there is a high possibility that you are experiencing a chakra block.

Indicators of Unbalanced Chakras

Chakra block is a phenomenon wherein one or more of your seven main chakras are blocked. When unbalanced chakras are left unchecked, this goes to stagnation and can lead to several ailments on the body, mind, and spirit. The primary indicator of unbalanced chakras includes physical pain and recurring stiffness.

Good thing, you can unhinge the blockage of your chakras by conducting chakra balance methods. Listed below are some indicators of unbalanced chakras on specific parts of your body.

  • Root Chakra. Symptoms include issues on the male reproductive organs, legs, feet, tailbone, rectum, and feet. It can also compromise your immune system and digestive system. Financial security and monetary stress could also be triggered if your root chakra is blocked.
  • Sacral Chakra. Imbalance on the sacral chakra will affect your sexual and reproductive flow. Kidney dysfunctions and urinary problems will also occur. Pain in the pelvic, hip and lower back areas will transpire. You will also feel constant fear of betrayal, inability to express emotion and desire.
  • Solar Plexus Chakra. Solar plexus blockage will cause digestive problems, pancreas and gallbladder issues, and chronic fatigue. You will also have a fear of rejection and an unrelenting inner critic.
  • Heart Chakra. Symptoms include asthma, pain in arms and wrists, upper back and shoulder problems. You will constantly have a fear of being alone. Heart chakra blockage will also cause you to “over-love” people forming jealousy, suffocation, and bitterness.
  • Throat Chakra. Blockage on the thyroid will cause a sore throat and ear infection. It will also cause pain in your neck and shoulder area. Psychological issues include issues on expressing oneself and constant fear of being out of control.
  • Third Eye Chakra. If you have a blocked third eye, the indicators include headaches, blurred vision, eye strain, and issues in the sinus area.
  • Crown Chakra. Signs of problems in the crown chakra area include constant fear of alienation, paralysis in creating concrete analysis, and rigid thought processes.

If you are noticing the indicators of imbalanced chakras, the best way to correct them is to conduct chakra balancing methods. Once your chakras are realigned, you can work towards improving your well-being once more—compensating for the lost activeness of your energy frequencies.

How to Balance Your Chakras?

Once you’ve identified specific chakra cores that need to be re-balanced, you can quickly drive the negativity away from your life. If your chakras are blocked, there are easy ways to align them back. Giving enough attention to your physical, psychological, and physiological sensations will provide an insight on where to begin to rebuild your chakras.

  • Practice your visualization. The best way to balance your chakra is to reimagine the image of the person you’ve wanted to be. If you get direct visualization of your ‘future self,’ you will start emulating the desired person through facial expressions, posture, feelings, dress, and act. It will also have a direct emotional response which will improve the frequencies of your chakra.
  • Balance the areas of your life. Start rearranging the flow of your time slowly. This will provide ample space for your body to regenerate enough to accept energy flow again. Minor adjustments to your lifestyle will also improve your overall well-being.
  • Check the status of your chakras. Although you are new to chakra meditation, you can conduct your own chakra diagnostic. This can be done as a form of balancing ritual, which will allow your body to incorporate elemental energies for you. Allow your body to be in a relaxed state by taking few deep breaths. Analyze the areas of your body that are having difficulties in your breathing process.
  • Meditate through yoga or crystals. Using postures for yoga can realign your body, allowing it to flow thoroughly without having issues. You can also meditate on your body using healing crystals. Crystals have innate energies which can also absorb the opposing force to your body.

]]> 0 How to Burn a Candle Last Longer and Safely? Mon, 31 May 2021 20:11:45 +0000 Candles get less than the credit they deserve – because they can be used for just about anything. Scented candles can get rid of moldy smells in the toilet or a weird smell in the apartment. It helps bring good vibes and stress relief after a long day’s work.

Of course, candles are meant to provide light when the power goes out. You can light a bunch of them so you can navigate at home with few issues. Whether you buy candles or make them at home to your specific taste, they’re indeed a must-have at home. Candle burning is natural to a household as cracking open the window to let some fresh air in. Check out following methods to burn your candle longer.

10 Ways to Burn a Candle Last Longer

If you already know how to use candles safely, your next quest probably knows how you can make them last longer. Fortunately, many quick hacks might help you get more from your candles than you already are getting. If you want to burn your candles longer and safer, follow our pieces of sage advice.

1.Try Freezing the Candle

This might sound unorthodox, but it does work. Freezing candles just a few hours before lighting them will significantly cool the wax, impeding the flame. The wax will still burn, but at a slower rate.

Perfect when you want a low flame and enjoy the scent of the wax as it dissipates gradually. Also, perform this hack if you feel that the brand of candles you have at home burn out too quickly. Some wax blends are just too efficient.

2.Trim the Wick

A big wick is a good thing.” A big wick is a terrible news for candles because the flame often grows too big, and it melts the wax too quickly, too.

If you are using an ordinary candle without a container, the over-burn will result in lots of wax dripping over one edge and a dead candle in an hour or two.

If you want to get better performance from your candle, you better trim the wick before lighting it. If the flame becomes massive, that’s because the wick is getting longer and longer as the heat digs a crater in the center of your candle.

3.Allow the Flame to Consume the Surrounding Wax

Many people commit this mistake daily. They light a scented candle for fifteen minutes or less, then blow the flame out because they’ve already had their fill of the fragrance.

On a technical level, this isn’t the most efficient way to use your candles. When you light a candle, the surrounding wax softens, too.

The flame has to catch up with all that melted wax to maintain a consistent depth about the melted wax.

Otherwise, there will be pooling in the center of the candle. Don’t worry too much about how many candles you have left – let your candle burn for a few hours so the melted wax is consumed and your wick is conserved.

4.Protect your Candle/s from Wind and Drafts

Fans, ACs, and drafty windows are just some of the things that are ultimately bad for lit candles. Currents affect the direction and burn rate of candles, and the more the flame moves, the more uneven the candle gets. If possible, put your candle in the corner of the room where there aren’t any drafts.

5.Wrap the Candle in Aluminum Foil.

If your candle has been burning unevenly for weeks now, you may have noticed that columns are forming on any of the sides of the container. Instead of trying to scrape down the wax, what you can do is create a cylinder made of aluminum foil around the container.

The aluminum foil will heat the edges of the container sufficiently to melt the cold wax. Eventually, the hard wax will fall to the center of the container, and you will have a more even candle in no time.

6.A Sprinkle of Salt!

Again, this will sound weird, but it simply works. Before blowing out your candle, sprinkle a teensy amount of salt around the wick and stir the melted wax so it blends with the salt. The salt will harden with the resin and cause the wax to feed into the wick more slowly next time.

7.Watch the Burning Time

As much as we want to use candles all night, candles in glass containers reach their limit after some time. Candles can explode when the flame gets too high, and the wax becomes too hot, overcoming the heat capacity of the glass container.

To avoid this problem, always use candles no more than four hours at a time, even if you have just bought the candle. The combined heat within the vessel produces pressure that presses against the glass, too. Better safe than sorry!

8.Never Use Water

Water might put out flames quickly, but they mess with the wax and the candle in general. Water does not help conserve your candle; it can only make your candles messy and inefficient.

9.Let the Wax Cool Down Completely

If you want to use a candle again after blowing out the flame, you need to allow the wax to solidify completely. The wax has to be completely cool to touch and somewhat hard before relighting the candle. Otherwise, you run the risk of encouraging pooling in your candle.

10.Use the Right Kind of Candle

If you are trying to make a considerable living room fragrant, you cannot possibly achieve that with teacup candles. It would help if you had larger candles, perhaps those with two wicks per container, to serve larger spaces. Appropriate sizing is essential when using candles, too.

How To Make Candle Smell Stronger? Thu, 27 May 2021 16:00:21 +0000 Every DIY candlemaker wants to make the candle smell stronger, because aromatherapy is such a tremendous benefit of lighting candles regularly, and no one should miss its benefits.

If you want to make strong scented candles at home, you need to understand the mechanics of fire and wax, to understand how you can enhance the experience. We will also be discussing tips on using your candles more efficiently if you don’t find the scent throw satisfying.

Common Reasons that Why Your Candle Do Not Smell Strong

The scent throw is a critical feature of many commercial and homemade candles that people can be very disappointed if the scent throw is not strong enough. If you have recently purchased an expensive candle and can’t smell it enough in the air, there might be a problem.

Our first troubleshooting tip would be to light the candle in a smaller room. This would reduce the overall space where the off-gassing of the essential oils needs to cover. If a smaller room doesn’t improve the potency of the off-gassing of the candle, there are several possible reasons you’re not selling the fragrance oils enough.

The first potential reason is that the manufacturer did not add a sufficient quantity of the fragrance oils for the candle’s size.

The smells of scented candles should be prominent at all times, and there should also be a build-up of these smells over time, as the candle burns for hours. If you can’t get this experience, there is something wrong.

Another possible reason is that the creation of the candle is inherently flawed, and you just bought the wrong candle.

Fragrance concentration issues often result from errors in the assembly line or workshop. If the scent throw has gotten you off-kilter, it may be time to switch to another scented candle brand so you won’t reencounter the same issue. We recommend purchasing from smaller stores and candlemakers as homemade candles are made with love. The smaller candlemakers are often more honest about the number of fragrance oils and petals they put in their candles.

How to Make Strong Scented Candles at Home?

You are probably already aware of how to create candles at home. The basic process of candle making applies to a lot of candle types already. However, influencing the scent throw, or how powerful the scent is when the candle is lit.

However, the process of influencing that property of the candle requires some level of experimentation. Fragrance oils are commonly used in candles. These oils can either be synthetic or natural, depending on the manufacturing process. Many people prefer organic essential oils because they bring some therapeutic benefits when inhaled.

There are also specially formulated fragrance oils that produce a strong scent when burned. We recommend that you buy the highest grade of essential oils that you can find for the best results. In the end, two main factors influence the scent throw: the quality of the oil and its concentration.

Essential oils vary in purity. Manufacturers usually combine the primary essential oil with a carrier oil. The carrier oil has a neutral scent and does not adversely affect the smell of the essential oil.

Adjusting the scent throw of a candle takes place after melting the wax with a double boiler. Add the fragrance to the wax as it heats. Do not add any oil to the wax when the wax is at peak temperature, as the heat may negatively affect the scent of the finished product.

As the wax gently melts, use a stirrer to distribute the essential oil evenly throughout the batch of wax. This is important because if you don’t stir the essential oil gently into the batch, you will have scent throw problems. After combining the fragrance oil and the wax, take a quick whiff of the melted wax.

Is the scent throw sufficient? Are you satisfied with the fragrance level? If you are, there is no need to add more fragrance oil to the batch. However, if the scent is barely there or you are unable to catch a whiff (at all), that means you have to adjust the quantity.

Put the wax back onto the double boiler and repeat the process. Add half of the previous quantity of fragrance oil to the batch, and perform a whiff test again.

As always, make sure that you stir the fragrance evenly to make sure that all of the wax receives an even amount of fragrance oil before it hardens.

Otherwise, only parts of the candle will throw a good amount of fragrance – other levels of the candle levels will not have a good scent if they will throw any fragrance as the wax burns.

Factors That Affect a Candle’s Scent Throw

  1. Wax type – Fragrance oils have different performance levels depending on the type of wax used during candle making. Soy wax is known for being very picky with fragrance oils. No matter how much fragrance oil you add, the soy wax fails to blend with the fragrance oil properly, resulting in poor or no scent throw.
  2. Oil brand – The higher the amount of solvent in the fragrance oil, the less potent the resulting scent. It’s nearly impossible to gauge this quality by simply looking at the fragrance oil.

If one brand doesn’t produce the potency you want, switch to another brand to better. Fortunately, there are many fragrance oil brands in the market, and you can even buy from overseas if you want.

  1. Wax temperature – Adding fragrance to candles is a tricky business. The ideal temperature range is 180°-185° F (82°-85° C). If the temperature is too low, the wax may not be sufficiently viscous to blend with the fragrance oil. If the temperature is too high, the heat may burn off the fragrance oil and reduce its overall effectiveness. The fragrance oil should be able to tolerate the heat as it blends with the wax.

How To Make Candle Wicks? Mon, 24 May 2021 16:00:39 +0000 Homemade candle wicks can be your best friend for all your wicking projects because making homemade candle wicks is not rocket science. Anyone can learn how to do it, and it can be just as rewarding and immersive as making different candle types at home. Who knows? In time, you might create a specialty line of custom candles that represent your unique style.

How to make a candle wick?

It’s common for first-time candlemakers to buy commercially prepared candle wicks by the meter.

While there is nothing wrong with just buying, you can further flex your independence and creativity by making your own at home. Conventional candle wicks are treated with borax, but you can also experiment with movable wicks and wooden wicks if you want to.

DIY Borax Candle Wicks

  1. Simmer 250 ml of water in a pot. Be sure just to let the water simmer. Don’t let the water reach a rolling boil.
  2. Take the simmered water and pour it into a nonreactive bowl. You can use either hard plastic or glass, not metal. Add three tablespoons of borax and one tablespoon of salt into the water. This water will be the primary treatment solution for your wicks.

Borax-treated candlewicks tend to produce less soot and ash. People observe that candles burn brighter when the wick is pre-treated.

Borax is a toxic substance. Keep your borax away from pets and children. Don’t let your kids inhale or ingest it, as it can produce harmful effects if ingested or inhaled.

  1. We recommend twine for homemade candle wicks. Find the heaviest butcher’s twine available for your homemade wicks. The length of the wick to be treated should correspond to the height of the container. The wick should always be higher than the container. If you don’t know precisely how long the container would be, pre-treat at least one foot of the heavy twine. You can resize the cord later by cutting with a pair of scissors.
  2. Twine is ideal as wicking material, but this doesn’t mean that you cannot use other twines or cords. Nearly every twine made of cotton can be used as candle wicks. The cord or twine should be durable and thick enough for the job of burning off the wax when the candle is in use.

To demonstrate how versatile wick-making is, you can also try using old shoelaces (remove the plastic tip first), torn pieces of cotton fabric, and embroidery cotton. Embroidery cotton is an excellent alternative as it comes in many thicknesses and colors, too.

  1. The candlewick’s borax treatment should ideally last for 24 hours. If you are strapped for time, the minimum soaking time is 20 minutes, but don’t expect great results.

If you plan to make a large number of candles, you need to pre-treat several feet of twine or cotton cord a day or two before you start working on the wax.

  1. After 24 hours, remove the twine from the solution with a pair of tweezers, or wear a pair of gloves if you want to forego the tweezers.

Hang the twine/s with ordinary hangers and allow to dry for at least three days—the drier the twine, the better the results. Never use wet or moist twine in candle making. The twine has to be bone dry before it’s ready for candle making.

Making Wooden Candle Wicks

It may come as a surprise to many that wooden candle wicks are common in candle making. Balsa craft sticks can be used for making wooden candlewicks.

These craft sticks are less than one inch in width, but they still have to be trimmed down to a more conventional size (refer to heavy butcher’s twine for the correct dimensions).

Balsa craft sticks come in different sizes: extra light, light, medium, heavy and extra heavy.

Extra light and light balsa craft sticks are ideal for making candle wicks. Craft stores typically offer 0.5” to 1” balsa craft sticks. These need to be pared down and then trimmed to the appropriate length for your candles.

  1. When making wicks, it’s always better to have more (a longer wick) than a shorter one. A longer wick can permanently be reduced. A wick that is too short for the container is a disaster.
  2. Get a mason jar or any container that can hold the balsa stick on the bottom ultimately. Pour room temperature olive oil onto the balsa stick to soak it thoroughly.

Soak the balsa stick for 20 to 60 minutes. While the balsa sticks will catch fire on their own, soaking them in olive oil allows for more efficient capillary action and brighter flames.

  1. After soaking the balsa sticks, roll them around on a piece of paper towel to remove the excess olive oil. You can also place the soaked stick on a plate covered with paper towels. Allow the sticks to dry for several minutes.

The balsa sticks should feel a little heavy after the soaking but they should not be dripping wet after dried. Check your hand after handling them. Do you see an oily residue on your palms? If you do, you need to dry the balsa sticks again.

  1. When the balsa sticks are sufficiently dried, attach wick tabs to one end of the sticks. The wick tab will help maintain the candle’s wooden wick position as the hot wax is poured.

Wooden wicks are as equally efficient as borax-treated cotton wicks. They burn just as bright. What balsa wood wicks bring to the equation is a nice, woody scent that will make the immediate environment warm and homey.

You may hear some additional crackling sounds as the wooden wick burns. These sounds are normal and are simply a sign that the wooden wick is doing what it’s supposed to do.

What Do the Abbreviated Codes Marked on My Gold/ Diamond Ring Mean? Fri, 21 May 2021 16:00:06 +0000 Have you ever been curious about the mark stamps inside the ring? Ring hallmarks are a standard part of professionally-made jewelry and purity marks, especially for more expensive metals like karat gold.

Material and Purity Marks

The most common marks found in rings are the purity marks, often denoted by a numerical value or a combination of a numerical value plus a letter.

For Gold Jewelry

Purity marks for gold jewelry are simple to read because they represent the karat weight of the precious metal. 9k is nine karats (for the United Kingdom market), 10k is ten karats (this is often yellow gold or white gold), 12k is twelve karats (more common in global markets rather than in the U.S.), 14k is 14 karats, up to 24k (24 karats of yellow gold).

Some variations make use of the decimal value of the weight – for ten karats, we have .417, fourteen karats is .585, eighteen karats is .750, twenty karats are .833, and a .999 stamp of purity denotes pure gold (24 karats). WGD refers to the weight of gold.

gold-purity-conversion-chart-9k 10k 12k 14k 18k 22k 24k.

Of course, not all jewelry is made of gold, and there are also other precious metals to consider.

For Platinum Jewelry

Platinum jewelry should have P.T. or PLAT. Jewelry stamped with 950 or 900 is also made of platinum, not silver or gold.

For Stainless Steel Jewelry

The S.S. or S.S. stamps denote that the jewelry has been manufactured from stainless steel. The same applies to logos like St. Steel and Steel.

For Sterling Silver Jewelry

What about silver? Silver rings will usually be stamped with self-explanatory marks like Sterling Silver, S. Silver, Silver, or just plain Silver. A 925 symbol can also denote sterling silver. Should you see a .950 mark, that’s silver, not platinum. The additional period clears the air of any confusion.

Further reading: Sterling Silver vs 925 Silver vs Pure Silver- Are They The Same?

Others Jewelry

The G.E. mark indicates that the jewelry is not made primarily of gold but another metal and has only been electroplated with gold. The G.P. mark is also identical to G.E. The ring size mark may also be stamped on the inside of rings depending on the preference of the manufacturer.

Jewelers’ or Designers’ Hallmarks

Government regulations require jewelry manufacturers and manufacturers of acceptable dining items to stamp designer’s hallmarks onto their products. These hallmarks are critical for establishing the value of jewelry and silverware, for example.

There would be no way to grade antique jewelry if there are no true hallmarks properly. The hallmarks also indicate the flexibility and durability of jewelry and reveal the actual metal used in the fabrication. The four most common metals used for jewelry are platinum, palladium, gold, and silver.

All genuine or fine jewelry must contain a certain percentage of a high-value metal. The quantity added by the manufacturer must be stamped somewhere inconspicuous, so the owner can evaluate these hallmarks later when the need arises.

It is not possible to tell the purity of a piece of jewelry by simply looking at it. Many modifying metals that were merely looking at a piece of jewelry won’t indicate the innocence of a tall. That’s why it’s essential to look at the metal stamps to check for purity before buying new jewelry.

There are compulsory hallmarks that must always be marked onto jewelry.

Sponsor Mark

The first stamp is the sponsor mark or markers mark. This metal stamp represents the company that is registered in making jewelry from precious metals. Manufacturers must have their own definite and identifiable characters, so it’s more practical to look at the stamps to identify the actual jewelry maker.

Purity Mark

The next mark is the purity mark or the millesimal fineness symbol. These represent the type of metal and how much of the precious metal is added to the jewelry. The weight of gold is denoted either by ct or K. In the U.K.; it is more common to see the ct mark. Palladium jewelry, on the other hand, will have either a 950 mark or 500.

Next on our list is the hallmark representing the assay office. Assay offices are responsible for the hallmarking of fine jewelry and testing for fineness. Each of the four U.K. assay offices has one has a unique stamp so the jewelry can be traced.

Optional Hallmark

There are optional hallmarks as well. Option hallmarks are special symbols that indicate the year when the jewelry was first crafted. These special symbols are often small letters like r or q, and they won’t repeat over time, so there would be no confusion about the production date.

The date stamp on fine jewelry changes every first of January. Date letters are not compulsory, so don’t expect to find them in all kinds of fine jewelry, especially those made outside the U.K. or U.S. The jewelry market has always been global, so western standards are not practiced in other countries.

Some countries like the U.K. have laws like the Hallmarking Act of 1973 that require manufacturers and assay offices to stamp fine jewelry. Such laws are not always present in other countries.

What about traditional fineness marks? Standard fineness marks are symbols that have been used to denote certain special events in the originating country. In the United Kingdom, they have several essential but non-compulsory traditional marks from palladium to silver, symbolized by Lady Britannia, seated with staff and shield.

There are also essential events denoted in commemorative stamps, from the Silver Jubilee of 1935, 1953, Silver Jubilee of 1977.

As for how the hallmarking is done, there are two methods – laser engraving and metal stamping. The older method is just metal stamping because there weren’t laser engraving tools back in the day. Traditional stamps are rare nowadays because they pose a risk of damaging the delicate insides of minor jewelry.

As for laser engraving, it too comes with a disadvantage – laser engraving can be rubbed out or polished out sometimes, and without the proper hallmarks, it can be more challenging to grade or value a piece of jewelry.

]]> 0 Can I Make Diamonds and How to Make Diamonds? Wed, 19 May 2021 02:00:09 +0000 How to Make Diamonds?

Imitation diamonds/diamond simulants have acquired a massive following in recent years because they are affordable and do the job perfectly of providing the same appearance of diamonds minus the cost. We’re sure that many of you want to know how to make diamonds, including the HPHT diamond, and some may even ask – are lab-grown diamonds real?

What are Man-Made Diamonds?

Lab diamonds or man-made diamonds are made from cores or seeds of existing diamonds. Man-made diamonds are manufactured through various processes that involve extreme pressure, high levels of heat, or deposition processes that gradually create the diamonds from continuous layering. The CVD method of making diamonds is the closest you can get to the natural processes that make diamonds many kilometers into the earth.

Some CVD diamonds will likely still undergo different processes to improve their appearance, such as heat treatment for modifying the color and pressuring the diamonds.

Lab-grown diamonds can be modified by adding trace amounts of elements or minerals that will change color once the temperature rises.

Cubic zirconia is a colorless, man-made gemstone that is derived from zirconium dioxide. While it can occur naturally in regular deposition sites of rocks, it is mostly synthetically created under laboratory conditions. Cubic zirconia is not a man-made diamond but rather a simulant or something that copies the appearance of a diamond because they are more affordable.

Moissanite is a kind of silicon carbide formation that is also used as a simulant of a diamond. Moissanite is also lab-grown (the majority of it), so if you see it out in any department store or jewelry store, you are looking at the synthetic kind. Synthetic does not mean fake in this situation – it just means that it was synthesized scientifically for the market. Moissanite is a very convincing simulant, making it popular in the engagement ring and wedding ring market.

What is the Difference Between Lab-Grown Diamonds and Diamond Simulants?

Lab-grown diamonds are incomparable to diamond simulants. A synthetic diamond is chemically stable and also chemically identical to diamonds mined deep in the earth.

They are natural diamonds, and if you look at the crystalline structure of man-made diamonds, they are also identical to the crystalline structure of harvested diamonds.

They offer the same level of sparkle and brilliance, but they won’t hurt your wallet that much. Of course, man-made diamonds came to be because people are looking for cheaper alternatives to natural diamonds. They continue to be very popular, and there won’t be any problems with the supply any time soon because of the high demand.

It is nearly impossible to tell a natural diamond and a synthetic diamond apart. However, for truthfulness, man-made diamonds are often inscribed with very tiny marks that identify them by the manufacturer.

These marks are visible only when you have the right level of magnification. The girdle, or the widest part of the diamond, is also often inscribed with additional information about the manufacturing of the synthetic diamond.

Man-made diamonds should never be confused with diamond simulants. Diamond simulants have different chemical compositions, and they’re not identical gemstones. They’re not synthetic diamonds but rather crystals that have the same general look and brilliance like diamonds.

Diamond is comprised of carbon crystals, while simulants are not. This is why diamond simulants are sold for much lower prices. It’s not a bad idea to buy diamond simulants, especially if you want to be more practical and you don’t want to dip in too much with your savings.

How to Grow Diamonds in a Laboratory?

There are two main methods of growing diamonds in a laboratory.

The first method is called the HPHT, which stands for High Pressure / High Temperature. This method is widely touted in different regions, from the US, Asia, Sweden, and even Russia.

HPHT is popular among diamond manufacturers because it can produce man-made diamonds in a wide variety of colors. Should the colors be less desirable, they can be changed or intensified with the help of heat treatment or irradiation.

The HPHT method’s refinements now allow manufacturers to create diamonds in virtually any color needed, which was unheard of for decades because diamonds are very demanding minerals, owing to their origin.

The second method for creating diamonds is chemical vapor deposition. CVD diamonds often reach up to three carats, and the internal inclusions are standard as well.

Can you quickly tell if the diamond in front of you is of the CVD type? Yes. The internal inclusions of CVD diamonds are patterned – they have a strain pattern that does not occur in natural diamonds.

They also tend to have a strong fluorescence (reddish), and they do not possess the natural capeline at 415 nm. This can be found in their absorption spectrum. CVD diamonds have a strong line present at 737 nm.

Are Lab-Created Diamonds Real? How Much Do They Cost?

Lab-created diamonds are most definitely the real thing, and probably the only thing that is holding back people from buying synthetic diamonds is the term synthetic. Again, we have to point out that synthetic diamonds are natural diamonds. The only difference is we have the technology now to create diamonds in a much shorter period, rather than millions of years of natural deposition.

Synthetic diamonds are cheaper than natural ones – you can buy over a carat at just $2,540. The attitude of the jewelry trading world is also changing. Before, synthetic diamonds were looked down upon by big brands. But when they realized that synthetic diamonds could be just as profitable as the real ones, they began stocking their displays with synthetic diamonds.

The savings with synthetic diamonds are genuine, so better think twice if you avoid these just because they have the term synthetic added to their name.

How to Lucid Dream with Crystals? Sun, 16 May 2021 22:24:14 +0000 Lucid dreaming is defined as a state where you are aware that you are dreaming while asleep. The Inception movie is one of the more dramatic reenactments of how powerful lucid dreaming can be. While some influential people can probably achieve more with lucid dreaming, there are plenty of other benefits for ordinary folks who want to try it for the first time.

What Is Lucid Dreaming and Its Benefits?

For the most part, people know that what happens after they sleep isn’t real. This is the baseline experience that dreams don’t feel natural, and people wake up from these dreams and don’t think much of the dreamscape that much after.

It’s different from lucid dreaming. The events that flash in sound dreaming look and feel natural. They are often considered almost life-like, and you can even control the events and actions within the lucid dream as if you were back in the waking world.

Scientific studies are still puzzled by the exact nature of lucid dreaming. It has been suggested that people have experienced at least one lucid dream in their life.

Lucid dreams don’t take place very often, but people tend to remember what happened in the plan once they do.

Some of the benefits of having lucid dreams include:

  1. Lucid dreaming can help reduce daytime anxiety by giving you a better sense of control of life. Lucid dreaming can be empowering because you can remember what happened and explore what takes place in the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is often inaccessible, but lucid dreaming provides that window of opportunity for a short exploration. When you have a lucid dream, you can shape what happens to the story taking place, and you can significantly influence the ending.

  1. It has been suggested that lucid dreaming can help practice your motor skills. For example, you can try moving your hands during a dream to see if your hands generally move while you are still sleeping. Lucid dreaming occurs during the REM sleeping phase, so it should be easier to move in and out of consciousness for brief moments to see if you are doing it right.

The brain region responsible for movement is also activated when you imagine movement during a lucid dream, so this activity can potentially improve motor adeptness in real life.

  1. Lucid dreaming can also potentially help people who lack problem-solving skills in real life. Lucid dreaming automatically taps the brain’s creative center, as you cannot sustain a dream without being fully engaged with your imagination.

Contrary to what many people believe, problem-solving is not entirely dependent on logic. Experts believe that problem-solving is tied more closely to a person’s creativeness than reason (i.e., ability to solve math problems, etc.)

  1. The most crucial benefit of all would have to be gaining more creative finesse. Lucid dreaming will work your imagination hard, and as a result, people have reported having new life insights and generally just having more ideas than usual.

If you are at the point in your life that you need to be more creative because you want to start a business or you need to study again, lucid dreaming might help you get there.

How to Trigger Lucid Dreaming?

There are several methods of triggering lucid dreaming. The most common one is reality testing, or trying to do something within the dream that is impossible, like passing through walls or flying. You can also try stranger actions like putting a finger through your hand.

The second method is waking briefly from the dream and then falling back to your sleep. This means you have more control of what’s happening in your brain because you consciously wake and sleep.

How Does It Feel Like?

Lucid dreams can be disturbing because they feel so real. You may see people you have not seen before or people you have yet to see in real life. You might feel hot and cold and see color changes. You can even hear and smell in some lucid dreams.

How to Use Crystals to Induce Lucid Dreaming?

Crystals can be used any time for inducing lucid dreaming. We recommend having the crystal with you all day so that the subtle energies emanating from the crystal will condition your body and mind the entire day.

Crystals for Lucid Dreaming

  1. Moonstone – Moonstone encourages deep sleep as it connects with the Moon naturally every night. Use the moonstone if you have poor sleep hygiene and you need to have a good sleep pattern again.
  2. Amethyst – One of the most potent gems you can use for lucid dreaming. It connects humans to their higher consciousness, transforming them into living energy channels where spiritual energies and dreams can pass. Amethyst is also very relaxing. Find our amethyst jewelry.
  3. Moldavite – Moldavite is an extra-terrestrial gemstone and helps people go beyond their established boundaries while amplifying spiritual energies.
  4. Blue calcite – Blue calcite is considered the crystal of inspiration, and it helps people stay focused and calm during a lucid dream. Blue calcite also helps sustain a positive state during lucid dreaming.
  5. Herkimer diamond – The Herkimer diamond taps a person’s seat of intuition and creativity (the third eye), which is essential for remembering what takes place in lucid dreams.
  6. Phenacite – Phenacite occupies the pinnacle of vibrational energy in the gemstone kingdom. It has a direct impact on the mind and dramatically improves the capacity to experience lucid dreaming.
  7. Fluorite – Fluorite solves the problem wherein the lucid dreamer cannot focus on the events flashing during the dream intensely. If you are constantly fatigued, fluorite may help you achieve your lucid dreaming.
  8. Clear Quartz – Clear quartz is the central stone of power and can assist anyone in lucid dreaming for the first time. This gemstone also improves your mind’s state so you can think more clearly during a lucid dream. Find our clear quartz jewelry.

Be Super Cautious When Handling These High Toxicity Gemstones! Mon, 10 May 2021 16:00:02 +0000 There has always been plenty of great interest in the metaphysical and healing properties of different precious and semiprecious stones. Did you also know that there are instances when crystals pose a health risk to people?

There are three main occasions when a gemstone may pose a toxic risk to people: during normal handling, during the cutting process and when you swallow water where a crystal has been submerged (also known as the crystal elixir or crystal water bottle).

While crystals are an essential part of the New Age or mystic lifestyle, it’s necessary to be very careful when handling certain gemstones.

Some of the associated risks with handling, inhaling, and ingesting liquids that have been contaminated with certain gemstones include exposure to dangerous heavy metals, radioactivity, and silicosis.

Like other natural products, some rare gemstones are deadly even when just handled because of their natural radioactivity. While we are all exposed to some amount of radioactivity throughout the year, it’s different when you are exposed to a purely radioactive stone. The risk of cancer and radioactivity sickness increases.

Extra care must always be taken when you aren’t sure if your find is radioactive or not. There are also instances when it’s not safe to inhale the fine particles produced when a gemstone is cut. Silica and asbestos are both harmful to the lungs.

Finally, we have potential toxicity that results from drinking water containing chemicals leached from toxic gemstones. The general rule is never to submerge the actual crystal in the water because it is often risky to do so. You will understand once you read our curated list of deadly crystals below.

Toxic Crystal List

Actinolite is known for sometimes containing asbestos. Not something that you would like to put into any elixir. Asbestos is a known carcinogen, and people spend a lot of money to get asbestos boards out of their homes. Don’t use this for anything that goes into your body!

Cinnabar contains a small amount of mercury. Wash your hands thoroughly after handling cinnabar. Never touch your hands to any part of your face after taking any cinnabar. Cinnabar must never be used for any elixir.

3.Chicken-Blood Stone

The chicken-blood stone is an exciting gemstone because of its fantastic color combination but is graded “display only,” which means you can’t wear it, and handling chicken-blood stone poses a risk to humans.

During the cutting process, the fine dust from this crystal must not be inhaled either because of the large amount of mercury naturally found in it. Once it has been sculpted and finished, however, as long as you don’t ingest any part of it, it should be safe to handle. For good measure, however, always wash your hands.

Cobaltite naturally contains cobalt, which can have poisonous effects if ingested. Never add to crystal elixirs – do not attempt this even once.

Consumption of cobalt in lethal amounts can cause various health problems, ranging from abnormal thickening of the blood, thyroid issues, tinnitus, nervous issues, deafness, and even fatal cardiomyopathy. This being the case, cobaltite must never be added directly to any liquid that is meant to be ingested.

Also known as the Tiger’s Eye, having the same composition, crocidolite is touted as a harmful stone that is very toxic. Experts say that it is likely irradiated and has a fibrous form suggesting that it may also have some asbestos content. While it does have some healing properties, this crystal is never safe for making any raw concoctions or elixirs. Care must be taken in handling it and processing it as well.

The galena crystals are naturally toxic and should never be ingested. This being the case, it has to be handled carefully, just like other poisonous crystals, as it has around 90% lead. Some experts state that malachite can only be used safely in its final, polished form. Do not create elixirs off of this crystal using any traditional method, as its toxins can leach into the water and cause bodily harm. If you wish to make a crystal elixir, it should be via the indirect technique by placing the malachite in a separate glass container. The water and the malachite should never touch. Malachite is also sensitive to oils and salts as the gemstone readily reacts with these chemicals.

Quartz is mainly toxic when its fine particles are inhaled. The only time that these fine particles are liberated is when the quartz is being ground, cut, or polished. Quartz, however, is not poisonous in its final form, but you have to wash it repeatedly to ensure that there remains no quartz dust anywhere on the crystal.

Aptly called the gemstone from hell, it is a deadly and deceptive green crystal that forms naturally in granite-rich rocks. Despite its natural beauty, torbernite is radioactive and produces radon. The outgassing can be fatal to anyone. The radon can trigger cancer, so stay away from it. It cannot be worn in any fashion, and even displaying it in an enclosed space is questionable. If at all kept in any storage facility, the torbernite has to be well-ventilated, and people must not stay in the same room as the torbernite for extended periods.
